This morning I went for a 14 mile run out and back along the canal towpath, starting from my parents’ house. As it was a weekday morning, the towpath was quiet – just the odd cyclist and very few walkers or runners – and I had some quiet time to myself to think on a beautiful, sunny July morning. It seemed the appropriate thing to do on the morning of Chris’s funeral. She passed away late last month and will be sorely missed.
